One of the most common things we hear from new clients is that they weren’t sure what the process would look like — or whether a contractor would actually walk them through it clearly. We built our entire approach around solving that problem.
Here’s exactly what happens when you work with Redfork Contractors, from the first call to a finished build.
Step 1: The Initial Call
It starts with a conversation. We want to understand the basics before anything else: What are you trying to build? Where is your property? What’s your rough timeline?
This call doesn’t need to be detailed. Most clients call us with a general idea — “I want a shop with some living space” or “I need covered storage for my equipment” — and that’s enough to start. We ask the right questions to help clarify scope, and we give you honest feedback on what’s realistic.
Step 2: The Site Visit
Once we have a general picture, we come out to your property. This is where the project really takes shape.
We walk the land together, talk through layout options, and identify any site-specific factors that affect the design or build — slope, soil conditions, access for equipment, setback requirements, and more. This step is what separates a well-built structure from one that causes headaches down the road.
It’s also your opportunity to ask every question you have. We want you to feel completely clear on what’s possible before we write a single number.
Step 3: The Proposal
After the site visit, you’ll receive a detailed written proposal. It covers scope, materials, pricing, and timeline. No vague line items, no hidden fees buried in the fine print — just a clear breakdown of exactly what you’re getting and what it costs.
If you’re considering multiple structure types — say, a barndominium on one part of the property and an equipment shed closer to your pasture — we can scope those together or separately depending on your priorities.
Step 4: The Build
Once you approve the proposal, we handle everything. Site prep, foundation, framing, roofing, and finishing — one team, one point of contact, start to finish.
We don’t hand your project off to a subcontractor network and disappear. Our team manages the entire build, which means consistent quality, clear communication, and no finger-pointing if a question comes up mid-project.
Why This Process Matters
Most construction headaches come from unclear scope, surprise costs, or poor communication. Our process is designed to eliminate all three before the first piece of steel goes up.
Whether you’re building a guest house, an indoor riding arena, or an RV storage building, the experience should feel organized, transparent, and low-stress.
